Amplifying Brand Awareness, gathering Authentic Consumer Reviews through Targeting Product Sampling

OBJECTIVE

The campaign for Ella & Jo had two objectives.

Introduce Ella & Jo products to a wider audience of women 30-55 years of age living in the UK.

Enhance brand exposure and credibility by gathering authentic consumer reviews from a minimum of 70% of campaign participants.


SOLUTION

Wanting authentic feedback and reviews on a selection of products, Ella & Jo partnered with Beauty Buddy to run a Targeted Sampling Campaign. Members of our Beauty Squad were selected based on Ella & Jo’s target criteria.

Products were delivered directly to the selected participants. The campaign guarantees product reviews from a minimum of 70% of the Beauty Squad recipients. The reviews are added to Beauty Buddy, the app where they are visible to all our Beauty Buddies.

An added bonus was the additional exposure that was generated for Ella & Jo, caused by some of our the participants, as they shared their reviews and experience of using Ella & Jo across various social media platforms.


PARTICIPANTS

89% Actually posted their review on Beauty Buddy!

The Targeted Product Sampling Campaign has a guaranteed 70% participation rate. For this campaign 89% actually posted their authentic product review on the Ella & jo product that they received on Beauty Buddy, the app.

SENTIMENT SCORE

98.51 - Exceptionally High

Our sentiment score is based on the text that our Beauty Buddies used in their reviews to describe the product and their experience. With a positive sentiment score of 98.51 out of 100, this is exceptionally high.


AMAZING PRODUCT REVIEWS

The Ella & Jo products in this campaign received an overall average rating of 4.89 in Beauty Buddy, the app. Over 90% of the reviews, added by participants in this Campaign, were rated 5 stars.

Part of our Targeted Sampling Campaigns is to send the products to members of our Beauty Squad that meet the brands criteria. They used the product and then added their honest reviews to Beauty Buddy, the app.

The reviews were then provided to Ella & Jo and they can use them across their e-commerce and marketing platforms.

These reviews are also visible to anyone using the app. Recently added reviews appear on the app’s newsfeed. Anyone searching for the product or that scans the product barcode will land on the product page showcasing all the reviews added by our Beauty Buddies. Providing the social proof that consumers need when researching a product.


REACH

Although posting content about the product that they have received in social media is not part of the sampling campaign some of our Squad just love to share.

The posts tagging Ella & Jo had over 1.2K likes and 1.3K interactions with a reach of almost 50K. The Advertising Media Equivalent of the posts was almost €5000. A bonus from our fab Squad!
